Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Crow Creek Chieftains (Stephan, SD), 60-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Stanley County upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Buffalos travel to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD) to clash with the Braves in a A Region 6 bout on Saturday, January 28. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 1-10.

Next up, the Chieftains clash with the Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Crow Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Sioux go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Omaha Nation (Macy, NE).
