West Virginia High School Basketball - Marietta routs Point Pleasant

January 26, 2023: Point Pleasant, WV 25550

In Thursday's league outing, the Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV), by a margin of 44-17.

The Tigers (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Frye (Beverly, OH). The Cadets go into the Twin State outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Fort Frye was trounced by Warren (Vincent, OH), 45-26, in a league outing.

The Big Blacks now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Gallia Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 31. Point Pleasant will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 45-32 league loss to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-15.
