Colorado High School Basketball - Thornton holds off Adams City
January 26, 2023: Commerce City, CO 80022 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Thornton Trojans (Thornton, CO) and the host Adams City Eagles (Commerce City, CO), saw Thornton's basketball squad hold off Adams City by a tally of 45-41.
With the victory, Thornton improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host Gateway (Aurora, CO) to confront the Olympians in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Olympians come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Gateway lost 57-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Aurora Central (Aurora, CO)
Next up, the Eagles confront the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors (Denver, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Adams City will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 81-49 non-league loss to Kent Denver (Englewood, CO).
