Maryland High School Basketball - Laurel tops Northwestern
January 26, 2023: Laurel, MD 20707 Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD), 58-45 in a league battle.
The Spartans now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host High Point for a battle on Tuesday, January 31. Laurel will confront a Eagles team coming off a 70-33 non-league loss to Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North (Laurel, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 3-10.
The Wildcats (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against High Point (Beltsville, MD). The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, High Point was toppled by Laurel (Laurel, MD), 59-41, in a league battle.
