Fans at Friday's league challenge between the West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC) and the visiting Fike Demons (Wilson, NC), saw West Johnston's basketball squad overcome Fike by a tally of 70-62.

With the victory, West Johnston improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC) to confront the Saints in a 3A Quad County challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Southern Wayne lost 92-64 in their recent league challenge against East Wake (Wendell, NC)

Next up, the Demons confront the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a 3A Quad County challenge, on Monday, January 29. Fike will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 60-54 league loss to South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC).
