Munising Mustangs (Munising, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI), 53-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Munising upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI) to play the Broncos in a Central Upper Peninsula bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Bark River-Harris lost 43-29 in their recent non-league bout against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI)

Next up, the Hematites play the Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Ishpeming will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Gremlins go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 68-37 league win over Calumet (Calumet, MI).
