Illinois High School Basketball - Jefferson holds off Rockford East
January 26, 2024: Rockford, IL 61108 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) and the host Rockford East E-Rabs (Rockford, IL), saw Jefferson's basketball squad hold off Rockford East by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Jefferson improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The J-Hawks travel to Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL) to confront the Titans in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 9-14. Boylan Catholic lost 72-51 in their recent league challenge against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL)
Next up, the E-Rabs confront the Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Rockford East will attempt to improve on its 5-20 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 71-61 league loss to Freeport (Freeport, IL).
