Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Marty Indian Braves (Marty, SD), 66-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lower Brule upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Sioux travel to Crazy Horse (Wanblee, SD) to play the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Crazy Horse won 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Omaha Nation (Macy, NE)

Next up, the Braves play the Omaha Nation Chiefs (Macy, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Marty Indian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 62-53 non-league loss to Crazy Horse (Wanblee, SD).
