Pennsylvania High School Basketball - North Allegheny thwarts New Castle
January 26, 2024: New Castle, PA 16101 The North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA) basketball knocked off the host New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 71-63 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA). The Rams go into the WPIAL 6A 1 test with a 6-9 record.
The Hurricanes now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Butler for a WPIAL 6A 1 test on Tuesday, January 30. New Castle will encounter a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 61-56 league loss to Seneca Valley (Harmony, PA). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 14-3.
