January 26, 2024: Springfield, OH 45503 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Springboro Panthers (Springboro, OH) and the host Springfield Wildcats (Springfield, OH), saw Springboro's basketball squad knock off Springfield by a tally of 58-49.
With the victory, Springboro improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Northmont (Clayton, OH) to play the Thunderbolts in a Greater Western Ohio challenge on Friday, February 2. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Northmont won 51-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Ponitz Career Tech (Dayton, OH)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Trotwood-Madison Rams (Trotwood, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 86-79 non-league loss to Western Hills (Cincinnati, OH).
