Kansas High School Basketball - Lawrence Free State overwhelmed by Shawnee Heights
January 26, 2024: Lawrence, KS 66049 The Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Lawrence Free State Firebirds to 24 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Friday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hutchinson for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Shawnee Heights will battle a Salthawks team coming off a 49-34 non-league win over Southeast (Wichita, KS). The Salthawks record now stands at 6-4.
The Firebirds (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Olathe Northwest (Olathe, KS). The Ravens come into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Olathe Northwest was routed by St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
