The Shiprock Chieftains basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting Silver Fighting Colts to 24 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chieftains now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Miyamura for a 4A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Shiprock will meet a Patriots team coming off a 45-35 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Patriots record now stands at 4-14.

The Fighting Colts (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM). The Lynx enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Rehoboth Christian was nudged by Tularosa (Tularosa, NM), 48-26, in a non-league contest.
