Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), saw Hickory's basketball squad hold off East Lincoln by a tally of 52-45.

With the victory, Hickory improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Red Tornadoes host North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 15-0. North Lincoln won 61-48 in their recent league challenge against Statesville (Statesville, NC)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. East Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 61-48 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
