Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Wylie Bulldogs (Abilene, TX), 62-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monterey upgrades its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Plainsmen travel to Cooper (Abilene, TX) to play the Cougars in a bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Wylie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
