New Mexico High School Basketball - Goddard crushes New Mexico Military Institute

Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM), 70-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Goddard upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Rockets host Portales (Portales, NM) to play the Rams in a 4A District 4 bout on Friday, January 28. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Portales won 55-46 in their recent non-league bout against Jal (Jal, NM)

Next up, the Colts play the Hagerman Bobcats (Hagerman, NM) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 31. New Mexico Military Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 74-39 league win over Loving (Loving, NM).
