January 27, 2022: Winterville, NC 28590 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC) and the visiting New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC), saw South Central's basketball squad overcome New Bern by a tally of 57-37.
With the victory, South Central improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to confront the Monarchs in a 3A/4A Conference 19 challenge on Monday, January 31. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Northside - Jacksonville lost 52-50 in their recent league challenge against J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC)
Next up, the Bears confront the Havelock Rams (Havelock, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 19 challenge, on Monday, January 31. New Bern will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 54-48 league loss to D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC).
