Virginia High School Basketball - Westover Christian Academy edges New Covenant

January 27, 2022: Danville, VA 24541

The Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA) basketball nipped the visiting New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), 50-47 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bulldogs (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Wirtz, VA). The Ospreys go into the non-league test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy was tipped by Temple Christian (Madison Heights, VA), 27-22, in a league test.

The Gryphons now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Veritas School for a non-league test on Friday, January 28. New Covenant will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 52-50 non-league win over Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA). The Lions record now stands at 5-5.
