The Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ) varsity basketball team lost Thursday's home non-conference game against West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ) by a score of 57-53.
The West Morris Mendham Minutemen basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Pequannock Golden Panthers to 53 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Minutemen now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Olive for a Northwest Jersey - National contest on Tuesday, February 1. West Morris Mendham will battle a Marauders team coming off a 33-26 non-league loss to Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ). The Marauders record now stands at 3-11.
The Golden Panthers (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hackettstown (Hackettstown, NJ). The Tigers enter the Northwest Jersey - Independence contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Hackettstown was nudged by Morris County Tech (Denville, NJ), 43-41, in a non-league contest.
