Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Council Rock North nips Bensalem
January 27, 2023: Newtown, PA 18940 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Council Rock North Indians (Newtown, PA) and the visiting Bensalem Fighting Owls (Bensalem, PA), saw Council Rock North's basketball squad hold off Bensalem by a count of 53-52.
With the victory, Council Rock North upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Council Rock South (Holland, PA) to play the Golden Hawks in a Suburban One - National challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Golden Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 3-15. Council Rock South lost 55-47 in their recent league challenge against Neshaminy (Langhorne, PA)
Next up, the Fighting Owls play the Pennsbury Falcons (Fairless Hills, PA) in a Suburban One - National challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Bensalem will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 61-41 league win over Harry S. Truman (Levittown, PA).
