Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Blanco Panthers (Blanco, TX) and the visiting Florence Buffaloes (Florence, TX), saw Blanco's basketball squad knock off Florence by a tally of 73-53.

With the victory, Blanco improves its record to 12-16 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Comfort (Comfort, TX) to play the Bobcats/Deer in a 3A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bobcats/Deer come into the challenge with a record of 11-18. Comfort lost 60-27 in their recent league challenge against Llano (Llano, TX)

Next up, the Buffaloes play the Ingram Moore Warriors (Ingram, TX) in a 3A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Florence will attempt to improve on its 6-18 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 59-53 league win over Brady (Brady, TX).
