Colorado High School Basketball - Grand Valley holds off Meeker
January 27, 2023: Meeker, CO 81641 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Grand Valley Cardinals (Parachute, CO) and the host Meeker Cowboys (Meeker, CO), saw Grand Valley's basketball squad hold off Meeker by a tally of 59-54.
With the victory, Grand Valley improves its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Aspen (Aspen, CO) to confront the Skiers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Skiers come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Aspen won 51-39 in their recent league challenge against Basalt (Basalt, CO)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the North Fork Miners (Hotchkiss, CO) in a 3A Western Slope challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Meeker will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 60-44 league loss to Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO).
