The Slocum Mustangs topped the host Kennard Tigers basketball team by a final score of 50-37 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Apple Springs Eagles (Apple Springs, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 game, on Tuesday, January 31. Slocum will attempt to move on its 5-18 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 6-13 record after their 64-46 league loss to Laneville (Laneville, TX).
