Mississippi High School Basketball - Lanier tops McComb
January 27, 2023: Jackson, MS 39203 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lanier Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) and the visiting McComb Tigers (McComb, MS), saw Lanier's basketball squad knock off McComb by a count of 62-51.
With the victory, Lanier upgrades its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to South Pike (Magnolia, MS) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-8. South Pike won 53-41 in their recent league challenge against Wingfield (Jackson, MS)
Next up, the Tigers play the Raymond Rangers (Raymond, MS) in a 4A Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. McComb will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 19-6 record after their 75-23 league win over North Pike (Summit, MS).
