California High School Basketball - Madison can't hold off Hoover

The Hoover Cardinals basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Madison Warhawks to 53 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University City for a City contest on Tuesday, January 31. Hoover will battle a Centurions team coming off a 48-15 league win over Coronado (Coronado, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 13-9.

The Warhawks (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Montgomery (San Diego, CA). The Aztecs come into the non-league contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Montgomery edged Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA), 72-51, in a league contest.
