The Wellington Eagles basketball team (Wellington, CO), was overwhelmed 53-12 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Platte Valley Broncos (Kersey, CO)

The Broncos now possess a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lutheran for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Platte Valley will confront a Lions team coming off a 73-52 league win over Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Lions record now stands at 14-2.

The Eagles (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Frontier Academy (Greeley, CO). The Wolverines come into the 3A Patriot battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Frontier Academy was overwhelmed by Highland (Ault, CO), 67-32, in a league battle.
