North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 32-14 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Wilkes upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Vikings host Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to clash with the Eagles in a bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Wilkes Central lost 37-22 in their recent non-league bout against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC)

Next up, the Blackhawks clash with the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. West Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
