California High School Basketball - Etna holds off Weed
January 27, 2023: Weed, CA 96094 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Etna Lions (Etna, CA) and the host Weed Cougars (Weed, CA), saw Etna's basketball squad hold off Weed by a tally of 57-55.
With the victory, Etna improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to confront the Bears in a challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Mt. Shasta won 61-35 in their recent league challenge against Fall River (McArthur, CA)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Modoc Braves (Alturas, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Weed will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 48-37 league loss to Trinity (Weaverville, CA).
