January 27, 2024: Benzonia, MI 49616 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Benzie Central Huskies (Benzonia, MI) and the visiting Bay City Western Warriors (Auburn, MI), saw Benzie Central's basketball squad hold off Bay City Western by a tally of 58-55.
With the victory, Benzie Central improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Leland (Leland, MI) to confront the Comets in a Northwest challenge on Monday, January 29. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Leland lost 39-37 in their recent league challenge against Suttons Bay (Suttons Bay, MI)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Glenn Bobcats (Bay City, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Bay City Western will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 58-35 league win over Birch Run (Birch Run, MI).
