New Mexico High School Basketball - Carlsbad routs Chaparral
January 27, 2024: Carlsbad, NM 88221 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), by a margin of 75-25.
The Cavemen (12-8) will now prepare for their outing against Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Wildcats go into the 5A District 4 outing with a 13-6 record. In their last outing, Clovis was trounced by Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 87-79, in a non-league outing.
The Lobos now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Lovington for a non-league outing on Monday, January 29. Chaparral will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 57-54 non-league loss to Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-8.
