Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Thomas Jefferson tops Central Catholic
January 27, 2024: Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (Jefferson Hills, PA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA), 71-59 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Thomas Jefferson upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Ringgold (Monongahela, PA) to play the Rams in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Ringgold lost 90-49 in their recent league bout against Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Seneca Valley Raiders (Harmony, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 61-56 league win over Butler (Butler, PA).
