Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Crazy Horse Chiefs (Wanblee, SD), 53-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lower Brule upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Sioux travel to Crow Creek (Stephan, SD) to play the Chieftains in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Chieftains come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Crow Creek won 74-71 in their recent league bout against Dupree (Dupree, SD)

Next up, the Chiefs play the New Underwood Tigers (New Underwood, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Crazy Horse will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
