California High School Basketball - Sierra overwhelms East Union
January 27, 2024: Manteca, CA 95336 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sierra Chieftains (Tollhouse, CA) and the host East Union Lancers (Manteca, CA), saw Sierra's basketball squad wallop East Union by a count of 63-36.
With the victory, Sierra upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Caruthers (Caruthers, CA) to play the Blue Raiders in a Northwest Sequoia challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Blue Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 13-11. Caruthers lost 68-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Mendota (Mendota, CA)
Next up, the Lancers play the Kimball Jaguars (Tracy, CA) in a Valley Oak League challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. East Union will attempt to upgrade on its 5-19 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 12-13 record after their 55-40 league loss to Manteca (Manteca, CA).
