The Elko Indians basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Lowry Buckaroos to 41 in the Indians league victory on Saturday.

The Indians now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fernley for a 3A Northern - East contest on Friday, February 2. Elko will battle a Vaqueros team coming off a 62-18 league win over Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Vaqueros record now stands at 19-2.

The Buckaroos (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Churchill County (Fallon, NV). The Greenwave come into the 3A Northern - East contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Churchill County was routed by Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV), 70-51, in a league contest.
