Illinois High School Basketball - Peoria nips Galesburg
January 27, 2024: Galesburg, IL 61401 Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL), 69-63 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Peoria upgrades its record to 11-10 on the season. The Lions travel to Lanphier (Springfield, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 13-11.
Next up, the Silver Streaks play the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Monday, January 29. Galesburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Maple Leafs go into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 44-43 non-league loss to Canton (Canton, IL).
