Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hancock Owls (Hancock, MN), 71-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Melrose (Melrose, MN) to play the Dutchmen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Dutchmen come into the bout with a record of 10-6. Melrose lost 63-57 in their recent league bout against Albany (Albany, MN)

Next up, the Owls play the Battle Lake Battlers (Battle Lake, MN) in a A Section 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Hancock will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Battlers come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 67-64 league win over Parkers Prairie (Parkers Prairie, MN).
