Georgia High School Basketball - Seminole County nips Mitchell County
January 27, 2024: Camilla, GA 31730 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Seminole County Indians (Donalsonville, GA) and the host Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), saw Seminole County's basketball squad hold off Mitchell County by a count of 50-43.
With the victory, Seminole County upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Indians host Calhoun County (Edison, GA) to play the Cougars in a A D2 Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 17-4. Calhoun County won 65-55 in their recent league challenge against Terrell County (Dawson, GA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Mitchell County will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 65-55 league loss to Calhoun County (Edison, GA).
