January 27, 2024: McDermott, OH 45652 The Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Whiteoak Wildcats (Mowrystown, OH), 57-44 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mohawks (13-2) will now prepare for their test against South Gallia (Crown City, OH). The Rebels go into the Southern Ohio II test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, South Gallia notched a victory over Eastern (Reedsville, OH), 53-41, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Peebles for a Southern Hills test on Tuesday, January 30. Whiteoak will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 54-53 non-league win over St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH). The Indians record now stands at 7-9.
