January 27, 2024: Modesto, CA 95356 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) and the host Gregori Jaguars (Modesto, CA), saw El Capitan's basketball squad wallop Gregori by a tally of 67-43.
With the victory, El Capitan improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Gauchos host Golden Valley (Merced, CA) to play the Cougars in a Central California Conference challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 2-20. Golden Valley lost 84-13 in their recent league challenge against Atwater (Atwater, CA)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Turlock Bulldogs (Turlock, CA) in a Central California Athletic League challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Gregori will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-14 record after their 49-32 league win over Enochs (Modesto, CA).
