New Jersey High School Basketball - Southern Regional holds off Freehold Township
January 27, 2024: Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ) and the visiting Freehold Township Patriots (Freehold, NJ), saw Southern Regional's basketball squad hold off Freehold Township by a tally of 46-43.
With the victory, Southern Regional improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Rams host Toms River East (Toms River, NJ) to confront the Raiders in a Shore A - South challenge on Monday, January 29. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Toms River East won 48-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Delsea (Franklinville, NJ)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs (Rumson, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Freehold Township will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 52-20 league win over Middletown North (Middletown, NJ).
