Kansas High School Basketball - Hayden tops Lafayette
January 27, 2024: Topeka, KS 66606 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hayden Wildcats (Topeka, KS) and the visiting Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO), saw Hayden's basketball squad knock off Lafayette by a count of 55-45.
With the victory, Hayden upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Manhattan (Manhattan, KS) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Manhattan won 54-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Wichita, KS)
Next up, the Fighting Irish play the East Buchanan Bulldogs (Gower, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 46-39 non-league loss to Savannah (Savannah, MO).
