January 27, 2024: Beckley, WV 25801 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV) basketball squad beat the visiting Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV), by a count of 64-45.
The Flying Eagles (3-9) will now prepare for their outing against Riverside (Belle, WV). The Warriors go into the Mountain State outing with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Riverside was topped by Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV), 49-31, in a league outing.
The Cougars now hold a 1-13 record. They play next when they travel to Hedgesville for a Eastern Panhandle outing on Tuesday, January 30. Jefferson will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 72-36 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.
