Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Fairfield Prep can't get by Mount St. Charles Academy
January 27, 2024: Fairfield, CT 06824 Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties (Woonsocket, RI) fans left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their ice hockey team hold off the host Fairfield Prep Jesuits (Fairfield, CT), 2-1 in a non-league match.
The Mounties (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels enter the State Championship Division match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Smithfield tipped East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI), 3-1, in a league match.
Next up, the Jesuits clash with the Xavier Falcons (Middletown, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - DI match, on Wednesday, January 31. Fairfield Prep will attempt to advance on its 4-8 season record. The Falcons enter the match with a 5-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI).
