St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] Wildcats (Leeds, ND), 56-53 in a non-league match.

With the victory, St. John advances its record to 5-9 on the year. The Woodchucks host Midway/Minto (Inkster, ND) to face the Mustangs in a B District 3 match on Friday, January 31. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 10-1. Midway/Minto won 69-50 in their recent league match against Park River/Fordville-Lankin (Park River, ND)

The Wildcats now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Drake/Anamoose for a non-league battle on Monday, February 3.
