January 27, 2025: Waterloo, IA 50701 The Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA) basketball crushed the host Waterloo Christian Regents (Waterloo, IA), 77-44 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Sailors now possess a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Denver for a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Tuesday, January 28. Columbus will play a Cyclones team coming off a 73-59 non-league loss to Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA). The Cyclones record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, Waterloo Christian falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Regents travel to Riceville (Riceville, IA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Riceville won 72-69 in their recent league bout against Clarksville (Clarksville, IA)
