New York High School Basketball - Hempstead fells Freeport
January 27, 2025: Freeport, NY 11520 The Hempstead Tigers basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Freeport Red Devils to 44 in the Tigers league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Friends Academy for a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. Hempstead will confront a Quakers team coming off a 51-37 league win over Lawrence (Cedarhurst, NY). The Quakers record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Freeport falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Hicksville (Hicksville, NY) to confront the Comets in a Section 8 AA-1 game on Friday, January 31. The Comets go into the game with a record of 0-1. Hicksville lost 51-44 in their recent league game against Freeport (Freeport, NY)
