Georgia High School Basketball - Allatoona thwarts Praise Academy
January 27, 2025: Powder Springs, GA 30217 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Allatoona Buccaneers (Acworth, GA) and the host Praise Academy Lions (Powder Springs, GA), observed Allatoona's basketball team knock off Praise Academy by a score of 44-26.
The Buccaneers (4-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Hornets come into the AAAA Region 7 challenge with a 8-12 record. In their last challenge, Hiram was knocked off by Cartersville (Cartersville, GA), 76-43, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions encounter the Central Christian Crusaders (Sharpsburg, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Praise Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-15 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 63-27 league loss to Konos Academy (Fayetteville, GA).
