Connecticut High School Basketball - New Britain fells Wethersfield
January 27, 2025: New Britain, CT 06051 The New Britain Golden Hurricanes basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Wethersfield Eagles to 41 in the Golden Hurricanes non-league triumph on Monday.
The Golden Hurricanes now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Newington for a Central Connecticut - North Colonial game on Wednesday, January 29. New Britain will confront a Nor'easters team coming off a 49-25 non-league win over Maloney (Meriden, CT). The Nor'easters record now stands at 8-6.
With the loss, Wethersfield falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Plainville (Plainville, CT) to confront the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Wednesday, January 29. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 9-4. Plainville lost 47-30 in their recent non-league game against Berlin (Berlin, CT)
