January 27, 2025: Highland Springs, VA 23075 Highland Springs Springers (Highland Springs, VA) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 49-42 in a non-league battle.
With the victory, Highland Springs advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Springers host Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA) to meet the Raiders in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Raiders enter the battle with a record of 10-0. Atlee won 90-32 in their recent non-league battle against Prince George (Prince George, VA)
The Mavericks now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Godwin for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 29. Freeman will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 55-41 non-league loss to Freeman (Richmond, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.
