The Mendota Aztecs basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Tranquillity Tigers to 50 in the Aztecs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Aztecs now have a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Firebaugh for a West Sierra game on Wednesday, January 28. Mendota will confront a Eagles team coming off a 61-60 league loss to Coalinga (Coalinga, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-13.
