Illinois High School Basketball - Blue Island Eisenhower nips Argo
January 28, 2022: Blue Island, IL 60406 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals (Blue Island, IL) and the visiting Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL), saw Blue Island Eisenhower's basketball squad hold off Argo by a count of 69-63.
With the victory, Blue Island Eisenhower upgrades its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Sandburg (Orland Park, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-16. Sandburg lost 81-49 in their recent league challenge against Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL)
Next up, the Argonauts play the Thornton Fractional South TBA (Lansing, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Wednesday, February 2. Argo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The TBA come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 48-45 league loss to Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL).
